India issued a strong warning to Pakistan on Wednesday over unprovoked ceasefire violations carried out by the Pakistan Army along the Line of Control (LoC).
According to sources cited by news agency ANI, the warning followed a hotline conversation held on Tuesday between the Director Generals of Military Operations (DGMOs) of both countries, during which India raised concerns about repeated ceasefire breaches by Pakistani forces.
On Wednesday, Pakistan continued its ceasefire violations for the sixth consecutive night, with unprovoked firing reported across the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian Army confirmed.
The latest incident occurred during the night of April 29–30, when Pakistani troops engaged in small-arms fire. The Indian Army responded swiftly and proportionately to the provocation.
This escalation comes amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan following the terror attack in Pahalgam, which claimed the lives of 26 people.
