WhatsApp Update: Voice and Video Calling Feature Launches on WhatsApp Web: Now Make Calls Directly Without the App!

WhatsApp is bringing exciting news for its users. Now, you will be able to make voice and video calls directly from the WhatsApp Web client. Previously, while WhatsApp Web allowed chatting, it didn’t support calls or video calls. To make calls, users had to rely on WhatsApp’s Windows or Mac apps, but now all calling features will be available on WhatsApp Web as well.

According to WhatsApp update tracker WABetaInfo, the feature is currently being tested in the latest beta version of WhatsApp Web. This means that the feature will be rolled out to all users in the coming weeks.

What’s New?

With the new update, WhatsApp Web will display phone and camera icons for voice and video calls, similar to what’s available on the WhatsApp app. These icons will appear on the right side next to the chat name. This will make calling features as simple and accessible as they are on the app.

Now, you can make voice and video calls directly from your computer or laptop browser without needing to download the WhatsApp desktop app. This feature will work on all major browsers, including Chrome, Safari, and Edge.

Why Is This Feature Special?

This feature will be incredibly useful for users, as it allows them to make calls directly from their browser without needing to install the app. It will especially benefit users who use WhatsApp on their browser for office work every day.

What Else Is New?

WhatsApp has also introduced another new feature called “Advanced Chat Privacy.” With this feature, users will now be prevented from exporting chats or auto-downloading media to their phone. Additionally, Meta AI will no longer be able to be mentioned or asked questions within chats.
