Why Was It Suddenly Removed?
Zomato has not issued an official statement on this decision. However, this isn’t the first time the company has discontinued a fast delivery service. Back in 2022, Zomato had introduced an ‘Instant’ delivery feature that promised food within 10 minutes. That plan also didn’t last long and was scrapped in early 2023.

After acquiring Grofers, Zomato rebranded it as ‘Blinkit’ and adopted a 10-minute grocery delivery model, which has turned out to be quite successful. Zomato is also experimenting with ‘Bistro by Blinkit’, a concept that delivers small food items quickly, though it’s currently available on a limited scale.
Is the Fast Food Delivery Model a Failure?
It wouldn’t be fair to call the idea of fast food delivery a failure, but implementing it is far from easy. When it comes to fresh and hot meals, delivering everything perfectly within 15 minutes is a serious challenge. That could be the reason why Zomato decided to step back from this model.
